Doug Lein
Doug is Divisional Manager of the Economic Development Marketing Division in the Office of Business Development for the City of Las Vegas. He has been with the city for over six years.
He is responsible for marketing and business assistance on behalf of the City of Las Vegas in an effort to enhance the City’s potential to attract increased employment opportunities and capital expansion. He devotes great effort to diversifying the economy beyond gaming.
His primary duties include customer relations, making the initial contact with representatives of new businesses and with those who are considering relocating or expanding their existing business in the Las Vegas area, and providing appropriate assistance as required.
He participates in numerous trade shows representing the City of Las Vegas throughout the country, as well as in Europe. He is active in many professional and community based organizations.
Doug has facilitated the publication of numerous departmental brochures and was the recipient of the Bronze Quill Award of Excellence in 1998 for his publication of "Las Vegas Medical Technology for the 21st Century" and a Silver Quill Award of Excellence in 1999 for the publication of " Las Vegas.a Downtown Renaissance".
Prior to his current position, he was previously the Director of Special Projects at David Allen & Associates PLC, a west coast based law firm with offices in four cities, where he administered the overall operations and market research for the expansion and development of the firm, over seeing office procedures, real estate transactions, project finance and construction management.
He also has been the General Manager of a real estate development and brokerage firm, where he gained extensive experience in a broad range of real estate transactions, including commercial and residential leasing and sales and general construction management.
