Dawn Oaks
Dawn Oaks was born and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago. She moved to Las Vegas in 1979 where she owned and operated a computer training company for ten years. After selling the business in 1997, Dawn accepted a position as Director of Business Development for a professional services firm for four years, before venturing into a new and exciting business.
Dawn purchased the franchise of Eight at Eight Dinner Club, a private dinner club and matching making business for single professionals. Four single men and four single women meet for dinner at eight o’clock.
As the premiere dinner club for singles, Eight at Eight serves several thousand members in Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, New York, and Las Vegas. By putting a new spin on a traditional problem, Eight at Eight has developed a novel concept that has proven to be successful in the singles’ industry.
Instead of the pressure of a one-on-one meeting or date, the service selects a compatible mix of people matched by age, interests, and background. Four men and four women meet for friendly conversation, dinner, and the chance to increase their circle of friends. Eight at Eight also hosts happy hours, wine tastings, and other special events.
"Las Vegas is the perfect venue for Eight at Eight. With thousands of single, professional people moving to our city every month, this is a great way for them to get entrenched into our culture and social scene. I have always been intrigued with the dating service business, and it’s so rewarding to help people find a new circle of friends, and often a lifetime mate. I am delighted to be a part of this successful adventure."
Eight at Eight has been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN, CLTV, Fox News in the Morning – Chicago, WXIA, Channel 11 - Atlanta, WSB, Channel 2 - Atlanta, KDFW, Fox 4 – Dallas, The Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun Times, The Atlanta Journal, Dallas Morning News, The Atlanta Business Journal, Atlanta Magazine , D Magazine, 99X, 790 The Zone, and 102.1 The Edge.
