Chef John Guinivere
President Cheflive Inc.
John Guinivere is a graduate chef from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. John’s passion for cooking developed at a very early age. His fondest childhood memories, sharing the kitchen and preparing meals alongside his mother and father at their home in Northern California.

After graduating from culinary school at the age of 20, John began his extensive professional career at the Cypress Point country club in Pebble Beach California. He worked in several restaurants; in the Napa Valley, owned his own cafe’ in the bay area, even traveled the oceans on large yachts as personal chef to the owners.

After moving to Las Vegas, John founded Cheflive.com in 1998, an interactive website created to share the culinary arts with the world. After years of gathering information, filming and interviewing chefs, John looks at his website as a place where people can come and celebrate the culinary experience with professionals, watch food preparation in progress, even share special dietary needs with each other. The diabetic resource center will list recipes, diabetic friendly restaurants, and help diabetics face their challenges by sharing with others who understand. A visit to the site will reveal many surprises, they change every day.

Planning and construction has also begun on a John’s production studio and culinary arts and entertainment center, located in the heart of Las Vegas’ growing arts district in a renovated building known as the Holsum lofts. The theater and studio will provide an entertainment and education place for people to gather to promote their products, film their craft, entertain clientele or take in a little Vegas charm. The Studio is slated to open in the summer of 2004.

John appeared on the Food Network in February 2004 on Follow that Food starring Gordon Elliot.
