Barry Berlin, a New Jersey native, has an extensive, 30-year background in advertising and sales, particularly in print media.
After graduating with a bachelor's degree in journalism from Drake University in Iowa, he headed for Manhattan. Berlin worked there selling movie advertising for the agency Diener Hauser and later served as media director for Stiefel-Raymond Advertising, whose accounts included Sweet'N Low, Laker Airlines and Hummel Figurines.
Berlin has sold advertising on outdoor media like buses for TDI Winston Network and for the East/West network of OAG/Frequent Flyer Magazine, a conglomeration of in-flight magazines. He was also the advertising director for TWA Ambassador Magazine.
Berlin came to Las Vegas in 1996 and was a sales representative for Gaming Today and the Las Vegas Business Press before joining What's On more than seven years ago as an account manager.
Berlin was recently promoted to the position of advertising director, where he manages the sales department responsible for selling advertising space in the company’s two newly launched community publications—What’s On, The Henderson Magazine and What’s On, The Summerlin Magazine.
