Mr. Alter leads the acquisition and development of Financial Capital Investment Company’s projects and is a service-oriented dealmaker for investors. Mr. Alter has extensive experience in acquiring, financing, developing and asset managing numerous real estate assets; including hotels, commercial properties and residential projects. He has personally developed commercial and residential projects throughout the USA.
Prior to becoming associated with Financial Capital, Mr. Alter was a Partner in a Los Angeles investment and development firm, as well as Executive Vice-President of a Beverly Hills syndication company. He has also been the Chief Financial Officer of a major public corporation.
Mr. Alter has a BS and MBA form the University of Southern California, a general contractor’s license and qualification as a certified business counselor. In addition, Mr. Alter has been recognized by Real Estate Forum magazine as one of the “50 Leaders of Tomorrow”; by the Los Angeles Business Journal as a “Tower of Influence” and in their Who’s Who list; and by the Los Angeles Downtown News as a “Top Deal Maker in Los Angeles”.
Mr. Alter has been a speaker at the Pacific Resources Conference, Lusk Real Estate Emerging Trends Conference, the Asian Pacific Business League, the State Bar of California’s Annual Meeting, the UCLA Annual Financing Conference, Deloitte & Touche’s Capital Markets Seminar and the University of Southern California’s Graduate School of Business. In addition, Mr. Alter has shared his expertise by authoring articles in Price Waterhouse’s Real Estate Today and Southern California Business.
Financial Capital Investment Company was founded in 1982 and has its corporate office in Los Angeles. The company has acquired in excess of $500 million of USA assets in syndication with investors. Financial Capital Investment Company has been profiled in The Los Angeles Times and been reported by The New York Times, Forbes, Asia Times, The San Francisco Examiner, Commercial Property News, Pacific Business News and The Wall Street Journal.
