In his early career, Doug Waggoner saw many capable people fail. Always curious about why, years of seeking and discovery revealed the truth: people fail because of erroneous beliefs about themselves and unfair expectations from others. Come learn about the lies the world has been telling you, and why they are not true. See how to uncover the truth about yourself, and how to succeed . . . on your own terms.
Doug Waggoner was born in Louisville , Kentucky , and raised on a small farm in the hills of Southern Indiana . "Our farm produced chores, breakdowns, opportunities to learn handyman skills, a very little produce, and definitely no profit." After working for a year in a printing shop to save money, he served a mission in the Netherlands . Next came two more years of saving money, working in a factory and a printing business, and then four years of working his way through college, earning a BA in Economics from Brigham Young University .
After marrying his wife, Rebecca, and the arrival of their first child, Doug returned to school, obtaining an MBA in Operations Management and Organizational Behavior from the Marriott School of Management at BYU. Doug then spent fourteen years in management, with businesses ranging from 60 to 55,000 employees. He spent most of that time turning around struggling businesses.
Three years ago, Doug "accidentally" became a consultant, and in January 2005 founded Resolution PI, moving his wife and four teenagers to Las Vegas on a 118º day last summer.
Resolution PI helps business leaders achieve amazing results by showing them how to unleash the potential of their most powerful asset: their people. The secret? Making sure people are "in the right jobs, doing tasks that fit their natural drives."
Using the Predictive Index (PI), a statistically validated psychometric assessment, business leaders discover a person's drives and understand their workplace behavior. In addition to the productivity gains from having people in the right jobs, other benefits include knowing how to communicate with and motivate an individual, and how to direct their professional development.
This is successfully used by thousands of organizations of all sizes in over 100 countries around the world. The results clients cite include increased profits, lower turnover, higher sales, improved communication, and enhanced workplace harmony.
